CATI Training Systems’ X-IG is taking flight simulation training to the next level with Mixed Reality (XR).

Pilot trainees can view the real world through the Varjo XR-3 HMD with high resolution pass-through cameras that allow them to see and touch the cockpit instrumentation (knobs and dials) of a physical aircraft cockpit.

CATI X-IG fuses a high-fidelity OTW synthetic environment with portions of the aircraft interior cockpit such as the co-pilot position with the physical cockpit to create the company’s most realistic XR training environment to date. CATI Mixed Reality provides a robust training capability at significantly lower cost. X-IG supports Varjo VR-3, Varjo XR-3, Oculus Rift, VIVE and Vision Products VR/MR headsets.
