Ryanair plans to build the largest simulator and training center in Central Europe, which will be located in Kraków, Poland. The investment is worth EUR €130 million (PLN 600 million) is another element of Ryanair's successful cooperation with the city of Krakow, the Lesser Poland Voivodeship and the Kraków John Paul II International Airport, where Ryanair is currently the largest airline.

With the new training center, which can train up to 500 people a day, Ryanair will provide Poland with modern technology and 10 flight simulators, including the first Boeing 737-8200 simulators, says the airline, and will create over 150 new jobs for pilot and cabin trainers crew, rostering and administration.

Of the 10 simulators, the training center will house 8 hydraulic (full motion) and 2 stationary flight simulators.

A new road will be constructed to connect the Ryanair training center with the airport in Kraków. Built jointly by the City of Kraków and Ryanair, the road will directly connect the passenger terminal with the simulator center, enabling pedestrian traffic between the airport and the center.

Radosław Włoszek, President of the Management Board of Kraków Airport said: “Perfectly trained and specialized staff are a guarantee of the development of the aviation industry in terms of passenger safety and comfort. I am convinced that the simulator and training center will contribute to the creation of new jobs in the region and will also become a world-famous school of aviation.”

The construction of the new Ryanair Training Center in Krakow will begin at the beginning of 2024. The first stage of the investment, with four flight simulators, will be launched in 2025 with plans to reach full training capacity in 2026.
