Six students have been selected from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s campuses in Florida and Arizona, forming the second cohort of the National Science Foundation (NSF) CyberCorps Scholarship for Service (SFS) program.

The initiative offers scholarships covering tuition, living stipends ($27,000-$37,000), and professional allowances ($6,000) for travel and certifications for up to three years. In exchange for the scholarship, students must commit to U.S. government cybersecurity service equal to the scholarship duration.

The inaugural group began the program last autumn, following Embry-Riddle's selection by the NSF in 2022 for a $3,875,000 grant until 2027, contributing to the nationwide initiative for aviation and aerospace cybersecurity advancement.
