Orbit Groundschool, the renowned and approved Dutch aviation theory  trainer, has partnered with OMNI Aviation from Portugal. This co-operation will give  wings to the establishment of an OMNI ground school division in the Netherlands.

This initiative is in  response to the growing demand in the Netherlands for high-quality pilot training at more reasonable and  lower costs. For aspiring professional pilots in the Netherlands, it means they can start their ATPL theory training phase,  including the final EASA exams, at Orbit Groundschool in the Netherlands.

This approach initially minimises  both financial and training risks. All ground training takes place at Orbit Groundschool in Arnhem and is conducted by highly passionate and experienced aviation instructors. After successful completion of the theory  phase, practical flight training can be completed in Portugal, taking full advantage of favourable weather and  flying conditions.

Robert Verkroost, Head of Training at Orbit, said: "Our proven methodology and systematic  approach, successfully applied in programmes such as the 'airline pilot programme' and previously at the  RNLAF, have led to the best results in Europe. The recognition of these achievements by OMNI has led to this  collaboration and provides OMNI with an opportunity to offer a great total package with Orbit as partner.”

Dylan van Haasen, Chief Flight Instructor at OMNI, added: "With Orbit as our partner, we are able to offer high quality training at a significantly lower cost. The set-up is very similar to my own training at the National  Aviation School in Hoofddorp, followed by flight training in Portugal - at the time, the perfect combination of  two worlds. Moreover, the reduced financial risk for both students and sponsors enables us to select the best  future pilots from a larger pool of candidates. The training’s enhanced accessibility for all interested individuals  is increasing more than ever. This is becoming crucial in a world where shortages in aviation personnel  continue to rise.” With this close collaboration, Orbit Groundschool and OMNI Aviation forge a historic alliance in aviation  training. Together, they aim for unparalleled heights, providing a unique opportunity for future pilots.
