Astrom Training Solutions has unveiled the latest release of Galaxy, its innovative Training Management System aimed at dramatically reducing administration costs.

This comprehensive solution consists of 11 distinct modules designed to meet a range of training management needs.

  1. Training Plan
  2. QMS
  3. LMS/Airpad
  4. Adaptive Exam System/ Intelligent Data Engine
  5. Scheduling
  6. Smart Sim
  7. Smart Form
  8. IOSA Audit
  9. Training Needs Analysis
  10. LCMS
  11. Cockpit Animator

The Training Plan module in Galaxy enables airlines to design a curriculum for both initial and recurrent training, integrating online courses, exams, instructor-led classes, and simulator or flight training. It allows airlines to set up multiple training paths and define prerequisites for each training component. For example, trainees might need to pass an exam before proceeding to simulator training. The module also supports flexibility, allowing trainees to choose between online courses or instructor-led classes as alternatives. These customizable features align with current market trends.

The Training Plan module provides a unique benefit by allowing training plans to be completed before all details are implemented. For instance, a Dangerous Goods course might not be available until November, but a fleet training manager can finalize a 737 recurrent training plan with Galaxy beforehand. Once the Dangerous Goods course is ready, the system will automatically enroll trainees, reducing manual effort.

Galaxy streamlines training management for airline staff by offering a variety of reports that allow managers and instructors to monitor training progress from different angles, such as trainees, training items, instructors, and equipment.
