Students at Atlantis Aviation Academy in Pembroke Pines are left frustrated and uncertain after the sudden closure of their flight school, according to NBC.

The shutdown followed the tragic deaths of the school's owner, Alfredo Diez, his wife, their 3-year-old son, and two pilots in a Virginia plane crash. More than a hundred students are now struggling to find a way to continue their education. An attorney explained that due to the owners' deaths, the estate must go through a legal process where secured creditors, such as banks, have priority over students, further complicating the situation for those affected.
