Air India will open a Flying Training Organisation (FTO) at Amravati in Maharashtra by early 2026, according to MSN.

This DGCA-licensed FTO, awarded by the Maharashtra Airport Development Company, will train 180 commercial pilots annually with 31 single-engine and 3 twin-engine aircraft. Campbell Wilson, MD & CEO of Air India, highlighted that this initiative will make Indian aviation more self-reliant.
