StaplesVR will be launching its BETA Engine Ground Run VR training software on the 9th of September 2024, at the Asia Pacific Airline Training Symposium (APATS) in Singapore at booth 804.

The VR module enables aviation engineers to practice and be assessed in the end-to-end process of an Engine Ground Run, without demand on a simulator and/ or aircraft or needing a trainer/ supervisor present. The training ensures the engineer is able to complete the process of an Engine Ground Run end-to-end as well as respond to emergency scenarios and faults as they happen.

Some of the learning outcomes include understanding the steps to complete: Engine Ground Run with no faults, identify and respond to the following faults / emergencies: hung start, start valve fault, hydraulic system fault, IDG disconnect, cross bleed start, and more.

The system allows users to practice with guided steps as a procedural trainer, before undertaking an assessment to confirm the learning. The solution allows access to training without needing a simulator, trainer or aircraft. In addition, analytics and trainee performance can be integrated into a users’ LMS. The system can also be completed in under 30 minutes.

Stop by booth 804 during APATS to try it out during the show.
