This 2 January, we noted air Baltic’s announced cancellation of 4,670 flights from all its bases for the summer season 2025.

The operational decision was based on unexpected delays and prolonged engine maintenance by Pratt & Whitney, the supplier of engines for airBaltic’s A220-300 fleet. CAT  has previously commented on the ripple effect on commercial aviation training programs due to delivery delays by OEMs, and second- and below-tier supply chain issues. This will not be not be the case at airBaltic.

This 6 January, airBaltic Corporate Communication Unit told the author, “Currently, we do not expect any changes to our training plans.”

CAT looks forward to following the training activities of airBaltic and other airlines around the globe in 2025.
