As wildfire season intensifies across the Northern Hemisphere, Entrol has launched its enhanced firefighting training simulator capabilities, now available for all Entrol mission-capable simulators.
The latest addition to Entrol's simulator range focuses on enhancing pilots' abilities to tackle wildfires, utilizing technology and real-world data. Thus, the Entrol ENVISION visual database, powered by Unreal Engine 5, offers geo-specific terrain with satellite imagery, providing a high level of realism.
Pilots can now train under various conditions, with the ability to position fires anywhere on the terrain, manage fire drops to extinguish flames, collect water from surrounding areas, select between water, foam, or retardant, adjust fire intensity, smoke characteristics, and visual representation of burnt areas and tree top fire types.
