Egnatia Aviation and the International Hellenic University (IHU) have just made a collaboration: Greece's first Industrial PhD dedicated to the Aviation Tourism Ecosystem.

This initiative integrates advanced academic research with practical industry expertise, aiming to set new standards in aviation marketing and tourism. The programme focuses on applying marketing strategies to the airport and general aviation services, fostering innovation, and delivering tangible value to the sector.

Egnatia believes this effort underscores the vital role of partnerships between academia and industry in addressing real-world challenges through focused research. By fostering such collaborations, Egnatia is helping propel Greece to the forefront of industrial research, marking a significant advancement for the country's aviation and tourism sectors.

Stergios Kitsos, a dedicated member of Egnatia’s Flight Operations Department since 2022, will be undertaking this Industrial PhD. Supported by the EU-funded Industrial PhDs programmes, Stergios will bridge research and real-world applications, driving innovation in general aviation and sustainable tourism.
