In a landmark moment for the aviation industry, APATS 2024 will host an unprecedented gathering of senior leadership from Airbus, Boeing, COMAC, and Embraer in the name of safety training.
Together with the AMFTA founder and President Jean-Michel Bigarré, Stephan Labrucherie from Airbus, Embraer's Alexandre Toribio, Boeing's Mark Albert and Jin Yibin of COMAC will share the stage for the first time on September 10th in Singapore to discuss critical issues in flight training and safety.
All five men are board members at Aircraft Manufacturer Flight Training Association (AMFTA), an organisation launched by founder Bigarré to standardise worldwide flight training levels. We thank all of them for their effort and commitment.
This groundbreaking event exemplifies Halldale's commitment to advancing aviation safety through our renowned publications and flagship events like APATS, WATS, and EATS. By bringing together these key players, APATS 2024 sets a new standard for collaborative dialogue in the aviation sector.
Meet the Visionaries
Captain Stephan Labrucherie, Airbus
As Head of Flight Training Worldwide and AMFTA Director Chairman at Airbus. Stephan brings over three decades of aviation expertise to the table. His career, beginning in 1991, spans various aircraft and leadership roles. Stephan has been pivotal in extending cutting-edge training concepts like Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA). His extensive background in human factors and emergency response systems positions him as a leading authority in aviation training.
Captain Alexandre Toribio, Embraer
Alexandre Toribio, Head of Flight Crew Training at Embraer Brazil, boasts a rich aviation career dating back to 1986. Holding Airline Transport Pilot Licenses from both the FAA and ANAC, Alexandre has excelled as a captain and instructor. His crucial role in structuring flight operations and training programs across APAC and China has culminated in his current oversight of Embraer's global crew training initiatives.
Mark Albert, Boeing
As Senior Director of Commercial Business and Program Management at Boeing Global Services, Mark Albert spearheads Boeing's Competency-Based Training and Assessment program. Mark has led Boeing's defense training component and now oversees various training solutions portfolios. His leadership ensures the continuous development and implementation of innovative training initiatives at Boeing.
Captain Jin Yibin, COMAC
Jin Yibin, Chief Engineer of Aircraft Operation Safety at Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC), brings a wealth of experience to the panel. A Senior Pilot and graduate of Civil Aviation Flight University of China, Jin holds an EMBA from Tsinghua University. His impressive piloting credentials include PIC qualifications on ARJ21, B737, B747, A320, and A330 aircraft. Before joining COMAC, Jin held various high-level positions at Air China, including General Manager of Flight Technical Management Department and General Manager of Zhejiang Branch. His international experience as Executive Chairman of Cooperative Development of Operational Safety & Continuing Airworthiness Programme North Asia (COSCAP-NA) further enhances his global perspective on aviation safety and training.
Captain Jean-Michel Bigarré, AMFTA
Jean-Michel Bigarré, Founder and President of AMFTA, brings over 30 years of aviation and flight training experience to the panel. His vision for a harmonized global flight training standard led to AMFTA's founding in 2019. Jean-Michel's executive roles with major aircraft manufacturers and airlines have driven advancements in training technologies and enhanced flight safety, notably extending CBTA within the Airbus curriculum. He remains active as a pilot, instructor, and examiner.
