TestAir360, a Hungarian startup, has developed a competency-based remote aptitude testing software designed specifically for pilot selection. This solution, intended for pilot schools and airlines, aims to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of candidate screening processes. Currently, international pilot training schools and one airline, including Wizz Air, Tréner Flight Academy, Egnatia Aviation, and Italy’s Urbe Aero Flight School, rely on TestAir360 for their candidate assessments.

The TestAir360 software offers a remote proctoring system, enabling exams to be conducted under remote supervision. Built using Next.js technology, the platform is designed for adaptability and continuous development, benefiting from a broad, collaborative knowledge base. TestAir360’s cloud-based, scalable, and customizable structure supports both pilot schools and applicants, expanding access and increasing the pool of qualified candidates for pilot aptitude exams.

The software provides a comprehensive analysis of candidate performance, detailing both test results and specific strengths and weaknesses. This feature allows schools to gain a clearer view of each candidate’s competencies. Additionally, the user-friendly interface facilitates easier exam administration for examiners and administrative staff, streamlining the process for both candidates and institutions.

With over 3,200 exams conducted globally—including tests from locations such as India and Kyiv—TestAir360 supports a range of aviation exams beyond standard aptitude tests, including first officer entrance exams and cabin crew qualifications. The platform’s AI-based system helps maintain test integrity by preventing candidates from manipulating answers, making it feasible for exams to be completed remotely and securely.

TestAir360 has further plans to develop an AI-powered video series with avatars, designed to assist students in preparing for exams. This initiative is aimed at broadening accessibility and increasing engagement, aligning with pilot schools’ goals of attracting more qualified candidates.
