At the 2024 Asia Pacific Airline Training Symposium (APATS) in Singapore, CAE announced two significant agreements that underscore its commitment to advancing aviation training across the region.
CAE and VietJet Air have entered into a long-term agreement to deploy the CAE Pelesys Training Management and Deployment System (TMS) and Aircraft Type and Special Operations CBT for initial and recurrent training. This digital transformation initiative will benefit approximately 5,000 users, including 1,000 VietJet pilots, starting from 1 October 2024.
The implementation of CAE Pelesys marks a pivotal step in VietJet’s efforts to standardize training delivery and management. It will integrate the airline’s training management data into its operational systems, improving both convenience and cost-efficiency for pilots and the airline.
In addition to the Pelesys system, VietJet operates three CAE-built Airbus A320 simulators, and CAE delivers Airbus A330 training to its pilots.
In another significant development at APATS, CAE signed a strategic pilot training agreement with Nok Air. As part of this partnership, CAE will deploy a Boeing 737NG full-flight simulator (FFS) at its training center in Bangkok, supporting Nok Air’s incoming fleet and its growing training requirements. This addition will enable Nok Air pilots to conduct in-country training.
These agreements reflect CAE’s ongoing efforts to support the aviation industry’s evolving training needs and its commitment to enhancing safety, efficiency, and innovation in training across the Asia Pacific region.
