infoWERK has released a new eLearning course on Alcohol and Drugs Awareness, designed for all sectors of the aviation industry. The 30-minute training focuses on the effects and risks of alcohol and drug use, detailing their impact on the body, potential dangers of misuse, and available treatment options for addiction.
The course is divided into two sections. The alcohol module covers intoxication, its effects on the body and brain, metabolism, and recommended consumption limits. It also discusses alcoholism as a disease and available treatment options. The drugs and self-medication module highlights the risks of self-medication, side effects of non-prescription drugs, and examples of common over-the-counter medications with potential adverse effects.
