LIFT Academy marked six years since opening its doors in Indianapolis, Indiana. Since its founding in 2018, LIFT Academy has achieved significant milestones and has expanded its reach.
Over the past six years, LIFT Academy has grown from its original campus in Indianapolis to new locations in Columbus, Indiana, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Galveston, Texas, with development of an additional campus in Tuskegee, Alabama, currently underway. The academy has also established partnerships with Purdue Global University, Indiana Wesleyan University, Ivy Tech Community College, and Tuskegee University, allowing students to advance their academic careers while pursuing their flight training.
Currently, LIFT Academy is home to 486 students and 118 Certificated Flight Instructors. Its fleet includes 67 Diamond DA40s and DA20s, along with 7 DA42 aircraft. Over the past five years, LIFT has trained more than 109 students, many of whom have gone on to successful careers at Republic Airways. Through a partnership with Cape Air, 74 students have gained valuable flight time and accumulated the necessary hours for a direct flow to Republic Airways. To date, 20 LIFT graduates are now flying as Captains at Republic Airways.
Looking ahead, LIFT Academy’s accelerated flight training program remains committed to helping students realize their dream of becoming commercial airline pilots.
