At the European Airline Training Symposium (EATS) in Cascais, Portugal, Elixir Aircraft has signed a sales contract with Egnatia Aviation. The Greek pilot school will be adding 12 Elixir aircraft to its current fleet of 18, with an option for three additional planes. The new aircraft will be delivered in two batches of six and stationed at Kavala-Amigdaleon airport.

Egnatia Aviation, established in 2006 and based at Kavala-Amigdaleon ‘Lydia’ airport, has become one of the largest professional pilot training schools in Europe. Serving more than 60 airlines globally, including cadet programs with Aegean Airlines, Wizz Air, Iraqi Airways, and Olympic Air, the school operates a fleet of around 20 single- and twin-engine aircraft.

As part of its ongoing fleet renewal program, Egnatia Aviation selected the Elixir model from Elixir Aircraft. Egnatia’s training team highlighted that the Elixir’s advanced technology will enhance the training experience for cadet pilots. Designed for efficiency and safety, the Elixir includes standard features such as a parachute and anti-explosion fuel tank, with a lightweight structure that lowers fuel consumption and operating costs.

The demand for qualified airline pilots continues to rise, leading training schools to seek reliable, modern fleets that meet the latest standards. Egnatia’s decision to integrate the Elixir into its fleet aligns with this industry trend, anticipating a shift to lighter, carbon-composite aircraft with streamlined parts and simplified maintenance.

The first six aircraft are set to be delivered in early 2025, initially complementing Egnatia’s current fleet.

"We are excited to add the Elixir aircraft to our fleet. This model meets our operational needs and will benefit our cadets with its design," said Dimitris Lymperakis, CEO of Egnatia Aviation.

Arthur Léopold-Léger, CEO and co-founder of Elixir Aircraft, stated, "We are pleased that Egnatia Aviation has chosen the Elixir for their fleet renewal, which we designed with training demands in mind."

Elixir is exhibiting at EATS, taking place now through 7 November. Stop by booth 914 to learn more.
