Scott Nutter, a seasoned aviation expert with over 38 years of experience, will be presenting at EATS 2024 on a critical topic: "Let’s Use Facts, Not Feelings: Data Management & Strategy in CBTA Programs."

His session will explore the importance of having a robust data management system to ensure the success of Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) programs.

In his presentation, Scott will guide attendees through a practical framework designed to help training professionals turn data into actionable business results. Drawing from real airline use cases, he’ll illustrate how this data-driven approach supports everything from individual pilot performance to broader corporate safety objectives.

The framework is straightforward enough for those with limited data expertise, yet offers deeper insights for specialists looking to refine their systems.

Scott’s extensive background in aviation makes him particularly well-suited to speak on this topic. Having started as a professional pilot, he transitioned to full-time training in 1996 and later assumed responsibility for Delta Air Lines’ pilot and instructor training programs.

Over the years, Scott has earned professional certifications in instructional design, human performance improvement, and quality management, which have shaped his focus on using data to enhance aviation training.
