The 2025 Women in Aviation International (WAI) scholarship program is officially open, and members can review dozens of scholarships on WAI’s website. Currently, there are 59 scholarships provided by 41 funders for flight training, engineering, maintenance, dispatch, and general career advancement for individuals in all stages of life. This 2025 scholarship cycle includes two new scholarships to further members’ learning in aerospace engineering and flight training. Applicants are encouraged to apply for up to three scholarships per year.
“WAI proactively works to address our industry’s challenges, and one of those priorities is investing in our current and future global workforce,” says WAI COO Stephanie Kenyon. “The support of our annual scholarship program is one of the major benefits of being a WAI member, and we appreciate the generosity of our scholarship sponsors.”
Since 1995, WAI members have received more than $15 million in scholarships.
Many of the 2025 scholarships will be awarded during the 36th Annual Women in Aviation International Conference in Denver, Colorado, from 27-29 March 2025. In order to qualify for a scholarship, the applicant must be a WAI member as of 1 October 2024. Applications must be submitted to WAI by 11 October 2024. Details of each scholarship, application requirements, FAQs, plus tips for submitting a winning application can be found on WAI’s website.
