Thales has been selected by Lilium as the sole supplier of navigation and communication antennas for their electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (eVTOL) jet program.
Lilium aims to revolutionize Regional Air Mobility (RAM) and drastically reduce carbon emissions with the Lilium Jet, targeted for entry into service in 2026. With Thales aerospace Communications solutions onboard, Lilium's vision takes another leap forward towards a sustainable and efficient aerial transportation future.
The planned shipset for Lilium's eVTOL fleet will include an optimal blend of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and bespoke antennas. These antennas include VHF Com + GPS, Wi-Fi/LTE, ELT, GNSS, DME, VOR, LOC, Glideslope, UAT, and Transponder.
