In an era where automation plays a crucial role in aviation safety, the pilot's ability to manage the flightpath and energy levels of the aircraft remains a vital skill. Dr. Sunjoo Advani, a leading voice in this area, will present at EATS 2024 on the imperative of enhancing flightpath management skills across the industry.

As the founder of the ICATEE working group, Dr. Advani has significantly influenced the development of Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT). With a PhD and MASc in aerospace engineering, he combines an academic foundation in aerodynamics and flight mechanics with practical piloting experience. This unique perspective has allowed him to create a practical UPRT programme tailored for IDT’s airline customers.

Dr. Advani will highlight the urgent need for improved flightpath management skills in his presentation, titled “Improving Flightpath Management Skills – A Global Call to Action.”

He aims to address vulnerabilities identified in operational and safety data, as multiple accidents and incidents have underscored the importance of this issue.
