Warfighter

The Warfighter Podcast is back for very special mini-season looking at First Person View (FPV) drones and their impact in the modern battlefield.

Even the most casual observer of recent conflicts will be aware of the impact that low-cost, consumer drones and home-built FPVs have been making across conflict zones. It’s likely that their impact is here to stay and militaries are mobilising for the use of these drones, as well as working out how to counter them.

Karl Eze formally served with the British Army and is now the founder of a company that specialises in the development and deployment of unmanned systems.

Karl joins Colin and Tom to provide a background to the evolution of FPV drones and discusses how the skills and capabilities are being developed through drone racing, and events such as MIDRT - Military International Drone Racing Tournament, which is being held in London this month.

Tom and Colin hope to uncover more about FPV's over the next couple of episodes.

About

Military Simulation & Training (MS&T) magazine has proudly signed up to be the exclusive media partner of The Warfighter Podcast, a brand-new simulation and training series that provides insight into the future being built by militaries and government agencies around the world.

The show is co-hosted by Tom Constable, a former British Army Officer turned technology entrepreneur, and ex-British Royal Navy officer Colin Hiller.

MS&T special correspondent Andy Fawkes is also a regular guest, providing a digest of the recent modelling & simulation news, with some discussion around the more interesting trends.
