Mick Golson, chief operating officer for Engineering & Computer Simulations (ECS), announced that John Jansen has been promoted to Director of Contracts. Jansen joined the firm almost a year ago and continues to provide extensive professional experience and a portfolio of specialized skills in government and military contracts, subcontracts and procurement. He will oversee implementation of the firm’s contracts and subcontracts and assist with other related duties, as needed.

Golson, said: “John’s ability to oversee all aspects of the contract and subcontract process and his experience within the government, defense and technology spaces make him the ideal candidate to lead this function. We are also excited to put John’s management and operational expertise to work for our team as a Prime Contractor on ETSC delivering global training services to military and civilians in contingency operations.”

With over 31 years in key management positions, Jansen’sexperience includes issuing, evaluating, awarding, and managing multiplehigh-dollar, complex, multi-type delivery orders for the U.S. Air Force; U.S.Navy; U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training &Instrumentation (Army PEO STRI); SATMO; Defense Acquisition University (DAU);Learning Asset Development, Sustainment & Support (LADSS); and others. Inaddition, he has supported over 800 people through senior management andsteering teams and had signature authority for prime contracts valued at $1.9billion while providing extensive support for RFP/RFQ/RFI processing on over100 concurrent prime contract task orders.

Jansen holds a bachelor’s degree in businessadministration/economics from the University of Central Florida and a dualmaster’s degree in contract and acquisition management and in businessadministration from Florida Institute of Technology.
