Bluedrop Training & Simulation has completed delivery of its Hoist Mission Training System (HMTS) to the Royal Canadian Air Force 19 Wing Comox.

The immersive virtual reality simulator Hoist MissionTraining System (HMTS) will replicate the CH-149 Cormorant helicopter and beused for Search and Rescue (SAR) hoist procedure and mission training. The HMTSwill improve hoisting skills in challenging mission scenarios, allowingtrainees to practice critical skills in a safe, true-to-life environment. Thesimulator provides high-fidelity cable behaviour that responds to flightdynamics and operator inputs with accurate turbulence flow zone rendering andcomplex rescue coordination scenarios.
