Whether multi-crew first responder training or large-scalemulti-national defense exercises, total mission effectiveness starts atplanning and goes through debriefing the entire team, not just those in theroom. Shared debriefing is how training becomes learning; how practice becomesa success. The old standard was the Distributed Debrief Control Architecture(DDCA), which struggles when the network isn’t perfect, and extra tools arerequired to make it work. Dr. Streit will be presenting his paper on PLEXSYS’ DistributedAfter Action Playback and Review (DAAPR), which is more network-fault-friendly,more elegant, and easier to use and implement.

The paper was submitted in response to the SimulationInteroperability Standard Organization (SISO) call for submissions focused onModeling & Simulation (M&S), M&S standards, or a supporting conceptor capability that impacts or enhances the development and use of M&S.
