NATO exercise Dynamic Manta is wrapping up off the Sicilian coast. Ships, submarines, aircraft and personnel from nine Allied nations took part in the anti-submarine warfare and anti-surface warfare training.

Submarines from France, Greece, Italy and Turkey under NATO Submarine Command took part. They joined surface ships from Canada, France, Greece, Italy, Spain and Turkey.

The aim of Dynamic Manta was to provide all participants with complex and challenging warfare training to enhance their interoperability and proficiency in anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare skills, with due regard to safety.
