Pinnacle Solutions, Inc. (Pinnacle) was awarded a delivery order under the Computer Based Instructional Design (CBID) II Contract for the development of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Regulatory Development Program (RDP) Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) as well as revisions to the existing Standardized curriculum IMI for the Regulatory Program delivered by Pinnacle in November 2019.
TheUSACE’s RDP is committed to protecting the Nation's aquatic resources andnavigation capacity while allowing reasonable development through fair andbalanced decisions. Time, changing public needs, evolving policy, case law, andnew statutory mandates have changed the complexion of the program, adding toits breadth, complexity, and authority. The Course Instruction developed by Pinnacle supports USACE’s commitmentto bringing this training program up to date and keeping it current.
The RDP training is designed to sustainthe skills learned in the Regulatory Program (RP) and provides a more in-depthunderstanding of the regulations, laws, concepts, and skills that will beimplemented in RDP projects. The RDP also provides training that expands uponthe entry-level information for more experienced team members who are pursuingpositions as project managers, Subject Matter Experts, and potentialsupervisory leadership positions. This more advanced RDP training builds uponbase-knowledge modules and expands upon the concepts with problematic andcomplex scenarios.
Over the next 18 months, Pinnaclewill develop a total of 34 hours of new and revised Level 2 and Level 3 IMI,with the web-based course version hosted on the Enterprise Lifelong LearningCenter (ELLC) and also as a standalone course available on DVDs.
PinnacleSolutions was awarded the CBID II Contract from theU.S. Army’s Program Executive Office Simulation, Training and Instrumentation(PEO STRI) in May 2017. PEO STRI’s customers can order training servicesand products related to computer-based training using this contract vehicle through2022.
