CoAspire received in March 2020 a U.S. Air Force Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Phase I prime contract for CoAspire’s Guided Training Round (GTR). The GTR is based off of Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control’s and the Department of the Navy’s Enhanced Laser Guided Training Round (BDU-59B/B LGTR). CoAspire is offering this GTR as a candidate for Phase II SBIR activity with the Air Force, Navy, or Marine Corps with the goal of transitioning to Phase II as soon as possible to further development.
By adding an inexpensive Commercial Off The Shelf GPS/INS tothe ELGTR’s Semi-Active Laser seeker, and a 14-inch dual lug suspension system,CoAspire will be developing a GTR for dual mode precision guided munition trainingfor the US Air Force, Department of the Navy and other customers. CoAspire isalso working on other sensors and software to provide even more capability, providing an affordable smart weapon/Net Enabled Weapon training round. ThisNet Enabled Weapon training round could emulate other smart weapons and providea test munition for adding Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other attributes.
