PLEXSYS recently participated in the Royal Australian Air Force’s (RAAF) Virtual Pitch Black (VPB) exercise. When Exercise Pitch Black 20 was canceled due to COVID-19 restrictions, the RAAF seized the opportunity to tailor the virtual exercise to meet broader Air Force training objectives beyond the live exercise. Virtual Pitch Black is a virtual and constructive exercise that provides targeted training scenarios designed and executed to deliver a Mission Rehearsal Exercise (MRE) activity for participants preparing for Exercise Pitch Black. However, with no live exercise this year, the virtual space was even more critical for aircrew learning outcomes.

“PLEXSYS is pleased to have been a partner in this important exercise, which helps ensure the RAAF remains ready to respond whenever the Australian Government requires,” said Robert Miller, Director, PLEXSYS Australia. “Bringing our flagship product, ASCOT-7, to the warfighter, is both exhilarating and humbling.”
