While the National Training and Simulation Association (NTSA) has cancelled the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) live event in Orlando, Florida, a new NTSA-run virtual event called vIITSEC is now taking place November 30 - December 4, 2020. The event theme, “The Future is Now,” could not be more appropriate.

NTSA’s virtual platform will enable the training and simulation community to gather in support of developing new training and education systems that will support warfighters, first responders, and National Security.

“It is clear to me that the warfighters are not getting a year off, so neither could the I/ITSEC mission,” said RADM James Robb, NTSA’s president. I/ITSEC 2020 was canceled for safety concerns amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We’re especially excited that a virtual format will provide a rich environment for the I/ITSEC community to network, present research, provide professional education and development opportunities, discuss requirements, and demonstrate cutting-edge concepts and technologies,” Robb said. “It will also be an opportunity to attract new participants here in the US and from around the world.”

The new event will include a full conference suite of technical papers, tutorials, and special events. NTSA will also construct a virtual exhibit hall where industry can demonstrate and communicate with the training, simulation, and education enterprise.

vIITSEC is in development, and information on the new format, registration, and exhibit and sponsorship opportunities will be available in upcoming weeks and continued updates will be available on the I/ITSEC website.
