“The arrival of the RSAF’s Fighter Detachment to conduct training in the Northern Territory underlines the strength of the Australia-Singapore partnership and our shared commitment to regional security,” Minister for Defence Linda Reynolds said in a statement.
The approximately 200 personnel strong RSAF detachment will train at Delamere Air Weapons Range and Bradshaw Field Training Area from 7 October to 11 December. The air combat exercises will also include live weapons deployment.
The RSAF detachment will comprise of F-15SGs from No. 149 Squadron flying F-15SG aircraft, A330-MRTTs from No. 112 Squadron and a G550 AEW aircraft from No. 111 Squadron.
Prior to the commencement of exercise, the RSAF detachment will undertake a Covid-19 test 48 hours prior to their arrival in Australia, followed by seven days self-isolation period, followed by a further 14 day quarantine period.
