The mock anti-aircraft drills featured participation of S-300 missile crews from Russia’s Central Military District stationed in the Samara region and near Krasnoyarsk.

The air defence exercises which concluded on September 18th were held in Russia’s Krasnoyarsk Krai and Samara regions.

The exercises held in the Samara region, involved S-300 SAM systems locking onto low-flying targets simulated by SU-34 fighter bombers, out to ranges of approximately 300km and performing electronic launches on them.

Similar exercises were performed by S-300 missile crews located near Krasnoyarsk, against two MiG-31BM supersonic interceptors at distances of approximately 250km.
