The Philippine Air Force (PAF) recently commenced a training programme for its Command and Control, Communications, and Cyber Systems (C4S) personnel. The first class is tentatively scheduled to graduate towards the end of December, 2020.

The five month long ‘Basic Integrated Command and Control, Communications, and Cyber Systems Class’ comprises of 20 PAF officers from different units. The new course is aimed at training PAF personnel on basic C4S knowledge and grow this skill set within the air arm.

“The course will also enable the Officers to comprehend the application of cybersecurity operations to support the Command's Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure, which are all integrated to support and link with the existing PAF Core Systems,” a PAF release stated.

The training course is delivered over a Learning Management System, which was developed by the PAF’s 950th Communication, Electronics, and Information System Group and will be used by the students, training staff, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) during the course.
