Barco-FS40-4K

Collins Aerospace has chosen Barco FS40-4K MKII projectors for a prestigious, international advanced jet trainer program. Tasked with delivering their next-generation 360-degree visual system, the Griffin-2, to an international fast-jet simulated training program, Collins Aerospace, a unit of Raytheon Technologies, Corp., has selected the Barco FS40 4K LED projector due to its optimal resolution, superior value acquisition and the lowest life-cycle cost to the program.

With Barco’s next generation FS40 4K LED projectors, Collins Aerospace will create an ultra-high performance, cutting-edge display system with very low total cost of ownership.

Barco’s FS40-4K MKII is the next generation solid-state RGB LED projectors featuring 20% higher brightness than the previous MKI version. Delivering an incredible image performance with a rich dynamic contrast and reduced motion artefacts on moving content, it provides commercial and military pilots with the ability to train realistically at any time of day, night, or in any conditions.

“We are very excited to have been selected for this program,” said Dave Fluegeman, VP of Simulation at Barco. “We value our collaboration with Collins Aerospace and share common goals to continuously lead the way in the industry and deliver high-performance training and value to our customers. The combination of Griffin-2 with Barco’s LED projectors brings us to the next level of unsurpassed training realism, ensuring that fourth and fifth-generation -fast jet pilots will train on the most realistic and immersive training experience available.”
