The NATO Modelling and Simulation Group (NMSG) has launched a call for papers for the Annual Symposium 2021.The event under the theme "Towards Training and Decision Support for Complex Multi-Domain Operation" is scheduled for 21-22 October 2021 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

The Programme Committee invites papers on how military M&S systems should modernize to meet the demands of a digital savvy soldier. In particular, how can modern simulation solutions (e.g. Mixed Reality, Joint MTDS,M&S as a Service, AI-based Simulation) provide cost-effective training at the point of need, or provide timely and up-to-date decision support or planning tools, for rapidly changing and complex multi-domain operations.

Papers may cover the full range of applications: including air, land, maritime, cyber, space, autonomous systems, influence and information operations, C4ISR & military-civil decision making support. Papers are invited to discuss technology and processes needed to create eco-systems where M&S service providers and consumers can meet to discover, compose and deliver the capabilities that are needed by the military personnel. The abstract should briefly discuss what the nations can expect to learn from the paper and presentation, and how M&S may be developed or exploited to address national and coalition challenges, and should be submitted to the MSCO Assistant by email: msg@cso.nato.int no later than 30 April 2021.

This symposium is open to NATO nations, NATO Bodies, Science and Technology Organization Enhanced Opportunity Partners (STO EOP), Partnership for Peace countries (PfP), Partners across the globe (GP) and Invited Contact Countries (Brazil, India, Singapore)
