Microsoft-Army

The US Army and Microsoft are working together on the production phase of the Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS) program, which is moving from rapid prototyping to production and rapid fielding, according to Microsoft’s blog.

The IVAS headset is based on HoloLens and augmented by Microsoft Azure cloud services. It delivers enhanced situational awareness, enabling information sharing and decision-making in a variety of scenarios to keep Soldiers safer and make them more effective. The Army has worked with Microsoft for over two years creating the Soldier Centered Design.
