Brunner has been awarded a contract for a research project to provide its first NOVASIM Virtual Reality Full Motion Simulator in a General Dynamics Stryker / Piranha configuration to armasuisse Science and Technology (S+T), the center of technology of the Swiss Department of Defense, Civil Protection and Sports (DDPS), in Thun, Switzerland. It will be used for R&D projects as Demonstrator for wheeled Tank (Stryker 8x8 / Piranha) for driving simulations.
NOVASIM VR is the result of a strong partnership with Bohemia Interactive Simulations (BiSim), CM Labs and Varjo. Combined with BiSims VBS4 / Blue IG whole world environment, CM Labs’ realistic vehicle physics model and the Varjo XR-1 mixed reality HMD, the NovaSim VR offers a new level of immersion in driving simulation.
Efficient individual training and systematic tank and truck repetitive training can be performed on a very compact, yet powerful driving simulator with the NOVASIM VR. The result is a highly realistic training environment and efficient driving experience. Installation and commissioning took place mid of May 2021.
