Sukhoi-Developing-VR-Technical-Training-Simulators

Russian airframer Sukhoi is developing Virtual Reality (VR) based technical training simulators for Su-57 and Su-35 combat aircraft.

The technical training simulator consists of a VR helmet and hand controllers, which allow ground personnel working on the Su-57 and Su-35 to virtually train on the technical aspects of these fighter aircraft.

“Implementation of the system will allow obtaining significant advantages in terms of reducing financial and time costs for performing maintenance, restoration and repair tasks for aviation equipment,” said Mikhail Strelets, First Deputy Managing Director - Director of the Sukhoi Design Bureau.

Development testing of the VR based training devices are slated for completion this year

The new technical training simulators can be supplied along with new aircraft or acquired separately.
