Founder and chief executive officer of C2 Technologies Inc (C2TI), Dolly Oberoi, is the winner of the 2022 National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) Kathleen P. Sridhar Small Business Executive of the Year Award.

NDIA remembers the late Dr. Sridhar as a distinguished businesswoman and inspirational leader who mentored others to successful leadership positions in the small-business sector of the defense industrial base. The Sridhar Award is bestowed annually on a defense industry small-business executive who best reflects Dr. Sridhar’s leadership excellence and support for a robust small-business sector within the defense industrial base.

The award citation recognizes Oberoi’s small business career "characterized by superb performance, strategic partnerships, and defense-related community activities.”

Oberoi’s knowledge of and experience within the simulation and training (S&T) industry spans more than 32 years. A respected pioneer and entrepreneur in the education and training, aviation, defense, and civilian sectors, she is dedicated to her company’s mission to improve human performance. In 1989, Oberoi, with partner Curtis Cox, founded C2 Technologies, an aerospace and defense company specializing in immersive technologies, (AR/VR/metaverse/digital twins), training, modeling and simulation, artificial intelligence, analytics, and digital transformation.

As an entrepreneur, Oberoi has served the academic, public, and private sectors with distinction, completing more than 18,000 projects for 130 plus clients, employing 500 employees in more than 22 locations globally, and winning over 200 industry awards.

Oberoi was nominated for the award by Raymond G. Duquette, former president and general manager of CAE USA, and current member of the C2TI Board of Advisors.

“Dolly demonstrates a personal devotion to U.S. warfighters by enhancing their knowledge and skills and constantly seeking advanced technologies and methodologies to benefit them,” said Duquette. “As a true thought leader, she also promotes and mentors women to strengthen and diversify our defense industry and actively shares her knowledge within and across our industry make us all better.”

Oberoi will be presented the Sridhar Award at the NDIA Fall Board Award Luncheon on Nov. 16, 2022, at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC.
