The DiSTI Corporation, a provider of HMI development tools and solutions, has been selected by Textron Systems to support its United States Navy’s Ship to Shore Connector (SSC) Operational Trainers program. DiSTI will be responsible for developing all classroom curricula and building the cockpit display panels using its GL Studio HMI software development tool.

Textron Systems’ SSC, designed to replace the U.S. Navy’s legacy Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) vehicles, is engineered to enhance the Navy’s operational capabilities by providing high-speed, heavy-lift transportation of equipment, troops, and vehicles from ships to shore.

DiSTI’s GL Studio will be integral to creating the SSC Operational Trainer cockpit display panels, ensuring they meet the rigorous standards required for military operations.

In addition to the cockpit displays, DiSTI will develop a comprehensive classroom curriculum for training the Navy’s personnel on the operation of the Ship to Shore Connector. This curriculum will leverage DiSTI’s extensive experience creating interactive, simulation-based training programs that aim to enhance learning and retention.
