CETENA, a subsidiary of Fincantieri Group, has introduced an advanced simulator that integrates virtual and augmented reality for Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) training and maintenance, specifically designed for the Italian Navy, according to Italian Defense Technologies

This system offers immersive experiences, blending 3D models, digital manuals, and procedures to enhance the Navy's operations in complex environments. The company believes the simulator represents a significant leap in training technology for underwater missions, developed through years of expertise and partnerships with industrial collaborators. It was unveiled at the Mine Countermeasures Forces Command in La Spezia during the NATO exercise Dynamic Move 24-II.
