The Indian Air Force (IAF) inaugurated a C-295 Full Motion Simulator (FMS) facility at Air Force Station Agra this November. The simulator is designed to replicate high-threat operational scenarios, allowing pilots to train in a realistic virtual environment. This advanced system will simulate various missions, including tactical airlifts, paradropping, medical evacuations, and disaster relief operations. By providing realistic flight experiences, the FMS aims to improve pilots' readiness and operational efficiency, reducing the need for actual flight hours during training.

Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, who officially opened the facility, highlighted the significance of the C-295 aircraft in enhancing India’s aerospace capabilities and its role in the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative. This simulator will support the continued development of the IAF’s fleet and further contribute to the country’s growing self-reliance in defense manufacturing.
