U.S. Marines from Marine Forces South and Sailors from U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet participated together on the Joint Force Maritime Component Commander staff during Exercise Integrated Advance 2025. Sponsored by U.S. Southern Command, the computer-aided exercise allowed participants to rehearse a contingency scenario in the region, testing warfighting functions and improving joint operations at the operational level.

Marines contributed expertise in intelligence, maneuver, fires, and information functions, helping reinforce joint training within the Maritime Operations Center. The exercise also provided the Navy’s MOC Training Team with insight into future personnel needs for numbered-fleet operations. Leaders emphasized the importance of seamless Marine-Navy integration to enhance maritime warfighting readiness.
