At I/ITSEC 2024, Simthetiq will demonstrate its expanded 3D Library, including new synthetic terrains and advanced features for Unreal Engine-based simulation platforms. The company will showcase geospecific airfields, tactical training environments, and updates supporting NATO and U.S. Department of Defense programs.

The 3D Library now includes over 300 synthetic virtual terrains designed for a wide range of simulation scenarios, from military tactics and CONOPS development to crisis management and flight simulation. These terrains are offered in various correlated formats, including OpenFlight CDB, VBS4, and Unreal Engine, ensuring compatibility across platforms. At the event, Simthetiq will feature these terrains integrated into a WGS84 whole-earth model using the Cesium for Unreal plugin.

Simthetiq’s founder, Vincent Cloutier, explained their innovative approach: "Faced with the challenge of supporting so many different runtime platforms, we developed a systematic translation system for our 3D simulation entity model and terrain library, ensuring efficiency and adaptability to new technologies."

This expanded library aligns with Simthetiq’s commitment to supporting high-fidelity, interoperable training environments. It integrates with mission-critical training systems, offering features such as validated geometric accuracy, thermal sensor textures, dynamic movement, and complex articulations. The library’s support for DIS and HLA standards ensures smooth deployment across platforms with minimal integration effort.

Simthetiq's work includes collaborations with leading MS&T players, such as the U.S. Department of Defense and the Netherlands Ministry of Defense. Working under a multi-year agreement, Simthetiq is supporting all the current NL MOD simulation environments from a single source that can be exploited within the entire Netherland’s defense simulation enterprise, including in national and multinational simulation exercises. Simthetiq also recently announced an award to support US DoD programs of record, including the MALET-JSIL Aircrew Trainer, with a CAF-DMO compliant library of simulation entity models for RocketIG – an Unreal Engine based simulation environment developed by US Army DEVCOM.

Attendees at I/ITSEC 2024 can visit Simthetiq at Booth #1421 to explore these advancements and learn more about the future capabilities of their 3D Library in supporting evolving simulation and training needs.
