Applied Training Solutions, LLC (ATS) successfully delivered its advanced ATSsim Training environment during Task Force 46’s (46th MP CMD) Defense Support to Civil Authorities (DSCA) Digital Exercise (DIGEX), held March 4–11 at Camp Grayling, Michigan.
Under the RMM&S3 contract, ATS provided a cloud-based Constructive Simulation to replicate a realistic All-Hazards DSCA and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) operational environment. The scenario centered on a catastrophic 100kT nuclear airburst over San Francisco, requiring the command and control of C2CRE-B and DCRF units as they conducted a Relief In Place (RIP) operation.
ATSsim Training created a dynamic, ground-truth scenario featuring realistic cascading failures, supply distribution, unit tracking, and mission execution. The system effectively stimulated Command and Control tools of record—including Palantir, APAN, and JADC2—through dynamic KML and ESRI Feature layer feeds. Tools such as USNORTHCOM MAVEN/GAIA and Email supported the integrated training environment.
Chosen for its capability to replicate Force Flow and simulate Friendly Force Tracking in Joint Operations Areas, ATSsim Training ensured a highly immersive and scalable exercise. LOCON Response Cells played out military elements brigade and below, replicating Department of Defense responses in real time.
The successful conclusion of the exercise confirmed the 46th MP CMD and C2CRE-B’s readiness for high-level CBRN response coordination. All personnel and equipment were safely redeployed and reset for future operations.
ATS continues to actively work to deliver experience-based disaster-preparedness exercise solutions for local, state, and federal agencies to protect communities.
