PLEXSYS Australia Pty Ltd (PLEXSYS) has announced plans for a collaborative Synthetic Environment Users Group event, scheduled to take place on 22 and 23 October 2025 at Macquarie University in North Ryde, NSW. The event will bring together leading defence, academic, and industry partners to explore the latest innovations and collaborative efforts shaping the future of synthetic environments for simulation, training, and operational readiness in Australia.
Participating companies include: PLEXSYS Australia; 4C Strategies; Solipsys Corporation; SimCentric; Bohemia Interactive Simulations; Macquarie University; and Bonboo.
Guests can expect a collaborative gathering of industry experts from within the simulation and synthetic environment community to demonstrate their capabilities. This event will highlight how integrated, collaborative solutions can directly support and enhance the operational readiness of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and increase the capabilities of the Defence Industry to deliver solutions to the ADF.
Day one of the Synthetic Environment Users Group will focus on dedicated briefings, where each participating company will provide a solution-based overview of their capabilities, a first look at upcoming developments, and detailed roadmaps. PLEXSYS global team members look forward to presenting significant projects and solutions from their regions, including Australia, North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
The second day will focus on execution, where the systems will integrate with an operational system and be used to execute a scenario based on a major multinational defence exercise. The aim of the scenario will be to demonstrate how, together, the systems can support training and complex operations across various domains, including air, land, maritime, space, and cyber.
“SEUG 25 exemplifies the power of collaboration bringing together defence industry and academia to shape the future of simulation and training. By connecting capabilities to the live C2 environment, we’re not just showcasing technology we’re forging the interoperability essential for joint mission success,” said Rob Miller, Director PLEXSYS Australia.
Attendees can look forward to engaging with industry leaders, sharing insights, and discussing the future of synthetic environments in defence and training.
