Ukraine is leveraging virtual reality (VR) technology to provide soldiers with critical battlefield training through HeisterVR, a startup founded by Vladyslav Maliarchuk. Initially focused on PTSD therapy, the company shifted its efforts to military applications to enhance scalability and cost-effectiveness.

HeisterVR’s VR simulators train recruits to navigate combat zones, recognize threats, and respond effectively to dangers. Specialized training modules include sound-based UAV detection and multiplayer tactical maneuvers. The company also received a grant of 100,000 hryvnias from Kiss My Apps to support development.

By equipping Ukrainian soldiers with realistic VR experiences, HeisterVR aims to improve preparedness and reduce casualties during initial combat exposure.
