The Digital Pathology Association (DPA) will host its 13th annual global conference, Pathology Visions, from October 6-8, 2019, at the Hyatt Regency in Orlando, Florida. The association will also be celebrating its 10th anniversary of the association at the conference.

The DPA is a not-for-profit member organization comprised of pathologists, scientists, technologists and industry representatives dedicated to the advancement of the field of digital pathology. Pathology Visions brings together professionals from around the globe and delivers best practice education while influencing industry standards and contributing to the advancement in the standards of patient care. Attendees of Pathology Visions will have access to a wealth of knowledge from thought leaders and pioneers in digital pathology.

The conference lineup includes presentations from over 30industry experts and a keynote address by Dr. Anil Parwani, professor ofPathology and Biomedical Informatics at The Ohio State University. Attendeeswill be able to participate in workshops with distinguished trade visionaries,see the latest product solutions, and more. Presentations will cover two tracks– clinical and non-clinical topics.

A handful of companies plan to introduce new technologies atthe conference.



Biotech Inc. will introduce a third-generation focusalgorithm. The system could complete scanning whole bone marrow smear slide intwo minutes. The new deep learning algorithm will per-classify the bone marrowcells to 74 categories.

Corista will introduce new software analytics integration,which has expanded to include additional partners and has been redesigned toimprove scalability, simplify configuration and ease integration. Their slideuploader allows individual pathologists to upload whole slide images andaccession a case into DP3.

Deep Bio Inc. will introduce DeepDx-Connect, their cloud-based digital pathology platform that supports data storage, scoring, annotation and analysis using artificial intelligence (AI). DeepDx-Connect supports AI analysis for the detection of malignant regions in prostate, breast and lymph node tissue.

Indica Labs Inc. will launch a new product, HALO AP, a case-centric, assay-driven, workflow software for anatomical pathologists.

Motic will announce the FS-Live Pro 6, a live remote frozen section for Motic Digital Pathology’s six slide scanner. Optimized for frozen sections, FNA, cytology, and ROSE, the FS-Live Telepathology Suite transforms Motic's one and six slide scanners into real-time microscopes that can be controlled by pathologists anywhere in the world.

Tribvn Healthcare will announce a new version of CaloPix,their image management and analysis software. The company will also belaunching the French National Telepathology platform in October, which will beopen to all pathologists on the French territory (public and private sectors).

These advancements will aid digital pathologists in faster diagnoses and improve patient care around the world. Additionally, DRS Daylight Solutions and Hamamatsu Corporation will both celebrate their companies’ 50th anniversaries while attending Pathology Visions.
