A brand of Diamler India Commercial Vehicles has placed its trust in Tecknotrove for setting up simulation-based driver training and development center at its headquarters in Chennai, India. The driver training center in Chennai has been set up with the latest driver training technologies including training simulators and virtual reality (VR) training solutions. By investing in the simulated driver training academy, the company aims to digitally transform, not just DICV and BharatBenz, but also those who are contributing towards their endeavor to make its customers successful.

Tecknotrove has set up BharatBenz Driver Training Academy with an advanced driver training simulator, TecknoSIM, especially designed on BharatBenz Truck. This simulator has an inbuilt 3-degrees-of-freedom (3DOF) motion platform system that provides a realistic feeling of driving a BharatBenz Vehicle. Customized training tools like VR training and E-learning are also designed for orienting the drivers on safe vehicle operation, its features and its maintenance.

The TecknoSIM training simulator designed for BharatBenz is the most realistic driving simulator in India that is suitable for training, testing, and research. In addition to its 3DOF motion systems, it also features actual vehicle controls and dynamics and realistic terrain and weather for the drivers.

This advanced driving simulator will not only enhance the driving skills of BharatBenz drivers but will also help them learn and adapt to modern technology in BharatBenz trucks, achieve logistical efficiency, driver safer than before, and strengthen their driving capability for driving on interstate, intra-city, hilly and mining terrains. The entire driver training curriculum has been designed to train BharatBenz truck drivers across India in 5 languages – English, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Telugu.

The advanced instructor station of the simulator records the driver’s response to the situations and records the driver’s behaviors, fuel economy, reaction times and other important parameters in real-time. A detailed report at the end of each drive gives an overview of the driver’s performance and highlights the areas for improvement. These findings can be incorporated in training sessions to further improve the driver’s performance with targeted training. Training Management System – TecknoSIM TMS, allows the management to assign, schedule, monitor and control the training process remotely from anywhere in the world.

“This is an important part of our long-term digital transformation journey. The start-of-the-art BharatBenz Simulated Driver Trainer is a new benchmark in the Indian Commercial vehicles industry,” said Satyakam Arya, Managing Director & CEO, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles.
