Adacel has been granted a new contract by the United States Air Force (USAF) to continue its long-standing service provision for the USAF’s Tower Simulator System (TSS) program. The contract specifies a base year period of performance and an option to extend for four additional years, prolonging Adacel’s support though to the end February 2029.

The total value of the contract over its five-year duration is estimated to be USD$27 million contingent on the optional years exercised.

Adacel has been the prime contractor for the USAF TSS Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) and Training System Support Center (TSSC) contract for over 20 years since it was originally awarded in 2002, with the first system installed in October 2002 at Eglin Air Force Base.

The company supports TSS units across the USAF, Air Force Reserve Command, and Air National Guard at both Contiguous United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) locations. The USAF TSS program scope of work for Adacel includes Program Management, TSS System Performance of minimum operational Availably Rate, TSS Maintenance Support, TSSC operations, TSS Technical Support, System Relocations, TSS Site Activation and Deployment activities, Visual Database (VDB) and model development and modifications, and software enhancements.
